1. Business Entity

Jet Lag & Curry is a DBA (doing business as) of Davidson Family Ventures, LLC, a California limited liability company. References to “Jet Lag & Curry,” “JL&C,” “we,” “us,” or “our” throughout these terms refer to Davidson Family Ventures, LLC and its principals, Kevin Davidson and Jason Davidson.

Kevin Davidson of Davidson Family Ventures, LLC is registered as a California Seller of Travel as an affiliate of Fora Travel (SOT Registration Number: 2151995).

2. Our Services

Jet Lag & Curry operates two distinct service lines. These services are separate in scope, structure, and how compensation is earned. Both are described below.

2a. Asia Travel Advisory — Jet Lag & Curry

JL&C offers fee-based travel consultation and advisory services, with deep expertise in Asia. Advisory services are sold on a fee-for-time basis: clients pay for our knowledge and expertise directly.

In our advisory capacity, we charge a fee for our time, and do not earn commissions, referral fees, or compensation of any kind based on where you stay, what you book, or what you spend. Our recommendations are based solely on our personal travel experience and remain entirely unbiased by financial incentive.

Advisory service tiers range from a $95 one-hour food and beverage consultation to our signature Bespoke Asia package. Full descriptions are available on our Services page.

In our advisory capacity, all bookings and travel arrangements remain your responsibility unless you separately engage Kevin Davidson in his capacity as a Fora Travel advisor (see Section 2b below).

2b. Travel Booking Services — Kevin Davidson, Fora Travel Advisor

Kevin Davidson is also a registered independent travel advisor through Fora Travel (foratravel.com), a licensed host agency. In this capacity, Kevin can book hotels and travel services for clients globally.

Travel bookings operate under a commission model standard in the travel industry: hotels and vendors pay a commission (typically 8–15%) to the booking advisor as compensation for the reservation. This commission is incorporated into the property’s standard pricing — in most cases, clients do not pay a surcharge because Kevin books on their behalf. In many cases, booking through a Fora-affiliated advisor provides access to amenities, upgrades, or perks not available through direct booking channels.

Kevin will disclose that bookings involves a commission before completing any transaction. Clients may decline Fora-based booking at any time and make their own arrangements directly.

Fora Travel booking services are a separate engagement from JL&C’s advisory services and are governed by Fora Travel’s own terms and policies in addition to these terms.

3. Information Accuracy

While we strive to provide current and accurate information based on our personal experiences and knowledge, restaurants close, venues change, and conditions evolve. We cannot guarantee the accuracy or availability of any recommendation at the time of your travel. We recommend verifying key reservations and experiences directly with providers prior to your trip.

4. No Guarantees

We make no guarantees regarding reservations, experiences, availability, or outcomes of your travel. Our recommendations reflect our genuine personal experience but cannot account for changes in quality, ownership, pricing, or availability. Travel inherently involves uncertainty, and our advisory services do not eliminate that uncertainty — they are intended to help you navigate it with greater confidence.

5. Limitation of Liability

Jet Lag & Curry and Davidson Family Ventures, LLC shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or recommendations, including but not limited to travel delays, cancellations, illness, injury, loss of property, or disappointment with experiences.

By engaging our services, clients acknowledge that travel involves inherent risk and that our advisory and booking services do not constitute a guarantee of any outcome.

6. Payment Terms

Advisory service fees are collected at the time of booking or as otherwise agreed in writing prior to the engagement. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

Fora Travel booking services do not typically involve a direct fee to the client unless specific planning fees are discussed and agreed upon in advance. Commission compensation is received by Kevin Davidson through Fora Travel’s standard payment processes.

7. Changes to Services

We reserve the right to modify our services, pricing, and these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

9. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and will not share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide our services, process transactions, or as required by law. Information shared during the course of an engagement is used solely to provide the services you have requested.

10. Affiliate & Compensation Disclosure

10a. Product Affiliate Links (Amazon & Travel Products)

This website may participate in affiliate marketing programs for travel-related products, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. In this case, we earn advertising fees on qualifying purchases made through affiliate links on this site.

Our product recommendations are based on our genuine travel experience. We only recommend products we have personally used or thoroughly researched. Affiliate links are clearly indicated where used. Using our affiliate links does not result in any additional cost to you — the price you pay is the same whether or not you purchase through our link.

10b. Fora Travel Commission Disclosure

When Kevin Davidson arranges bookings in his capacity as a Fora Travel independent advisor, Davidson Family Ventures, LLC may earn a commission from the hotel or vendor. This commission is paid by the property or vendor— not by the client — and is consistent with standard travel industry practice.

Kevin will always disclose the existence of a Fora commission prior to engaging in booking on a client’s behalf. Advisory recommendations made under the JL&C fee-based model are never influenced by Fora commission considerations.

10c. What We Do Not Earn Commissions On

Jet Lag & Curry’s advisory recommendations — including restaurant suggestions, hotel recommendations provided in an advisory capacity, activity and destination guidance, and all itinerary content — are made on a strictly fee-based, commission-free basis. We do not accept payments, commissions, sponsored placement, or compensation of any kind from hotels, restaurants, or destinations in exchange for simply recommending them.

10d. FTC Compliance

All affiliate and commission relationships are disclosed in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines for endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255) and applicable advertising disclosure requirements.

11. Product Information Accuracy

We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of product information, pricing, and availability referenced on this site. However, manufacturers and retailers may change specifications, prices, or discontinue products without notice. Please verify current details directly with retailers before making purchases. We are not responsible for discrepancies between our content and current product offerings.
